The Masseria
Luce was originally a fortified
farmhouse and dates from the
18th century. The original house
still stands (and is lived in by
the owners of the estate) as
does the original chapel. Two
apartments have been created in
the surrounding buildings, each
with its own distinct entrance
and private outdoors space.
There is one, one bedroomed
apartment and a two bedroomed
one - Elisabetta.
Elisabetta has charming original
features, such as fireplace and
wood fired bread/pizza oven and
is centrally heated. The kitchen
has a table and chairs, oven and
hobs and is well equipped and
leads into a smaller room with
sofa, tv etc. There is one
bedroom with a double bed,
wardrobe etc and a twin room
(can be made up as double) with
French doors opening onto the
terrace. The bathroom has. a
shower, washing machine bidet
and W.C. All the rooms are
furnished with country antiques.
Outside there is a deep terrace
that surrounds the apartment (with
shady and sunny areas)as well as
a small grassy area (all
enclosed) for sunbathing. Table
and chairs, sunloungers etc are
all provided and we can add a
large paddling pool if required.
